Keep Pickups Running Smoothly: Residential Trash Only

  • toxic waste

At Rescue Disposal, our goal is simple: show up on time, pick up your trash, and keep your service reliable week after week. To help us do that, we want to share a quick reminder about what can (and can’t) go inside your trash bin.

What we accept: household trash only

Rescue Disposal is a residential trash pickup service, which means the only items allowed in your cans are everyday household trash from inside the home—your normal bagged kitchen and bathroom waste, household packaging, and other standard residential trash.

What we do not accept

Our trucks are hydraulic and built for normal household waste. Heavy or prohibited items can damage equipment and cause delays for an entire route. Please do not place any of the following in your trash bin:

  • Car parts or automotive materials
  • Metal of any kind (scrap, appliances, etc.)
  • Construction or demolition material (wood, drywall, concrete, tile, roofing, etc.)
  • Large batteries (including car/industrial batteries)
  • Animal feces (pet waste, livestock waste, etc.)
  • Outdoor trees/yard debris (limbs, trunks, heavy brush, etc.)

Why this matters

Even one load with metal or heavy materials can bend blades, damage hydraulics, and put a truck out of service. As a small business, we don’t have extra trucks sitting around—so when equipment goes down, it impacts everyone’s pickup schedule. Keeping prohibited items out helps us stay fast, consistent, and dependable for all customers.

Fees and responsibility

If prohibited items placed in the bin result in a fine, disposal surcharge, or equipment damage, those costs must be passed through to the account tied to that pickup. In some cases, we may also need to skip collection until prohibited items are removed to prevent damage.

Not sure if something is allowed?

No problem—just contact us before pickup day and we’ll help you confirm what’s acceptable.

Thank you for helping us keep service running strong—and for choosing Rescue Disposal.
